Artist Residencies

Our artist residency invites creators from all disciplines to explore environmental art, while collaborating with scientists and communities to inspire learning, connection, and care for the planet.

We accept applications on a rolling basis.


Residency details

This month-long residency in Miami is open to all visual mediums and invites artists to create work focused on environmental, sustainability, and social ecology themes. Residents receive private studio space and a modest stipend to support their time. Priority is given to proposals that include public programming, fostering collaboration, learning, and community connection.

Provisions

Resident artists are provided with a studio space and a stipend to support their creative work. Artists are responsible for bringing their own materials and supplies, will donate one artwork at the conclusion of the residency, and have the opportunity to showcase their culminating work at our annual exhibit.

A Month in Residence

The residency lasts one month and is based in Miami, a city surrounded by diverse terrestrial and aquatic landscapes. Residents have the opportunity to explore native ecosystems, gaining inspiration from the region’s rich natural environments.
